Maybe you do not like pinballs, thing which deserves all of my respects; of course.
Although, that is the best pc ( and lynux ) based pinball that I've ever seen around for free. thus if you know of any other good one then, please, do not hesitate and let me/us know A.S.A.P!.

If ya like tanks try "World of Tanks".
It's free to play and also has ingame gold that you can buy to get extra goodies. You don't need to buy anything in the game to have fun with it!

WoT is quite addictive and there's enough upgrade paths too keep things interesting.  Campers will like this game as it's better to hide in a bush and wait for a lot of the games!
They have light, Medium, Heavy, Tank Destroyers and Artillery!

When you start off you'll have 3-4 empty garage slots.  A way to make money quickly is to have 3-4 tanks going so when one is destroyed in a battle you can drop out of the match and start on ya 2nd tank and you'll still earn any rewards from the battle you dropped out from.  Do this across 4 tanks and your money will start adding up!

I had some fun with a game called "Black Prophecy" It's a space ship shooter MMO with twitch based controls and awesome graphics. The game has some RPG elements like item collection and crafting but the gameplay  focuses more on fast paced in your face space combat and is designed to get the player into the action with out a lot of traveling.
