Editing it breaks the HUD. I've never experienced this with any other unreal game I've played. Cutting it to 50 has for other games doubled my framerate.

I'm sure a lot of low end users would appreciate it working.

Dunno what the devs did. Dunno how to fix it. But if it can be fixed that'd be super.

It actually tends to break it in quite a few Unreal Engine games.

It breaks because the hud scales up towards the top left, and that includes your crosshairs and targeting reticules. I discovered this in CBE2.

With the games I've played it just hasn't had any effect on the HUD. Like everything but the HUD gets scaled and the HUD stays crisp.

I'm wondering what was done in the other games that made it not break. You'll also notice that the cockpit part of the HUD is fine, it's just the numbers and junk that're borked.

If there's a way to get it to work I'd be thrilled. It really does double my framerate in other games.
