Hello there peaps!!

I've been having this issue since i started trying to acess closed beta 2, i downloaded this but i got the error saying "Failed to update host". I kept trying and trying to uninstall and install the game that day but it still agve me the same error everytime!! :C. So i decided to just wait for open beta to come, until this day I am still getting this dam error!! its so annoying! i really want to play the game! :C.

Im asking you guys to please help me solve this people!!

I've been trying the same process of uninstalling and reinstalling. At first it an "Unable to open metafile" error, I solved that by saving the file in an external hard drive. Now I'm dealing with the host issue. Blaww

The problem was fixed for me by installing the game through the "C:" drive. I originally installed it in my external hard drive but it won't load the game at all.

Probably the patcher is programmed to think that the game is always going to be found on its C drive instead of seeing where it's supposed to be at.

Just uninstall and reinstall it to your C Drive! Hope it works for you guys!

I have this same problem but how do I save onto the C drive on my hp

how do you install through the C: drive on an HP

wow rly_ -.- i have the same problem, but I WONT install "that" game just for testing on my SSD...FIX THAT -.-

Delete file "HawkenLauncher.version" in the folder: "Program Files (x86)MeteorEntertainmentHawkenInstalledHawkenFiles"

That rebooted the patcher for me.

I had this issue as well. On one computer I installed it to X: just fine but a different computer my game drive is E: and it gave the "Failed to update host" error and endless cycle of restarting the launcher.

Uninstalled and installed to C: and it worked. Weird that it worked on one computer but not another.
