ISSUE

menu and in game framerates seem to fluctuate but never get high enough for it to be enjoyable (30 MAX/5 MIN), music cuts out in menu also.

This has happened from the instant i first ran the game, i have lowered settings and resolution to minimum but it seems to not make any difference.

I'm sure i'm not the only person having these issues.

SPECS:

WINDOWS 7 64 BIT

8GB DDR3 RAM

INTEL I7 QUAD CORE 2.3 GHZ (turbo boost up to 3.3)

NVIDIA 640M GT 2GB VRAM

I'm getting something even worse, I'm reporting 1 FPS just after clicking Launch Game. I can't even navigate my mouse to the settings icon to change settings, although I doubt that's the issue considering I should at least be able to operate the menus. My rig is enough to run Far Cry 3 on all Ultra settings, more than enough for this game.

Same as iode was fine this morning but after my second game i alt tabbed and then it just freezes for 10 seconds then 1 fps then freeze again.
Rebooted Hawken and its still the same :(

It just freezes up contandly then you have 1 second to move your mouse before it freezes again.

Specs

Windows 7 64bit

8GB Corsair Vengeance

Intell I5 2500K

Ati radeon 4850 1GB

Same here. About 20 FPS in Home, and about 15 when starting a game. I'm fine in game with 45+ FPS on Ultra both Textures and Graphics but WHY_ What should not be lagging at all are the menus, but this is where I'm lagging the most. It's not my hardware's fault for sure.

I managed to get it more playable by manually setting AA to off using nVidia's Control Panel. But still the menu lag exists.

I hope this is getting fixed soon enough.

Same issue on my end. I'm running an overclocked i5-3570K and an overclocked 7870 Hawk and the menu is slow as molasses. The game itself is moderately playable, but definitely not running as smoothly as it should. All my other games run fine.

I have this issue as well. Though turning off film grain (search the boards for instructions) got me up to 22fps on the main menu (and made the game look so much better). Once I'm in a match it runs just fine but the frame rate still drops to ~20 on the respawn and between match menus.

I just played a game where during an intense firefight all of a sudden I started stuttering. EVGA Precision showed a constant 3 FPS in both game and in menu. This persisted even after the match ended.

Not sure what caused it, but I restarted Hawken and framerates are back up to usual 80-90 FPS. I will report back if I can reproduce it. I am running an overclocking program as stated above.

The game will be running perfectly smoothly, then during a heavy firefight or reload after death the game will drop from 45-60fps to 10-15fps. I'm running an AMD 6950. I looked in the catalyst control center and noticed that my GPU clock goes down to 250MHz and my Memory clock goes down to 150MHz. Those speeds are normally 500MHz and 1400MHz respectively.
To me it looks like Hawken is putting the GPU into an idle or powersaver mode.

Hope this info helps. I will report back if I find more.

edit: Doesn't seem to have to be in a heavy firefight, i was repairing and it happened again. It seems to happen once every one to three games.

I think I'm suffering from decreased performance from the alpha/closed beta too.
Are you guys using fraps to display frame rate or is there in an game solution_

So i'm back several days later to say that: the issue has reoccurred, and it is quite game breaking at the moment.

Was playing just fine with my EVGA Precision showing ~100fps and then in an instant began stuttering and dropped the framerate down to a constant 3.6fps. Disconnected from the game and the framerate persists in the main menu until I close and restart the game.

Anyone else find other threads with this issue_ Want to make sure it get's heard by Meteor.

8GB DDR3 RAM
EVGA GTX 680
