I did try searching for this to see if it is a known issue, but the search function would not accept the word quote.
Example:

I thought they'd disappeared because when I reported a spambot, a mod accidentally banned me instead of the spambot and since then they've vanished.

Something derpy happened around the time of OB where some people don't have the quote function, like DarkPulse. (DP also got hit with a badly-aimed ban for a couple hours, apparently.)
It still works for me, but that just means that the problem is even weirder than just "we accidentally the quote button for the user permissions".

Yeah, we've escalated this to IP Board, because it's nothing we have done or are doing on our side. The fact it seems to be randomly happening to some of you is very troubling indeed.
Our top agents are on it. I know it's frustrating, but we're working on it!

Actually DP, yes, that's exactly what happened to me. Accidentally given a warning/banned after reporting a spam account, then reverted.
Ever since then, those have been missing, I just now got around to posting about it.
And thank you for the update Hugs, hopefully it's fixed sooner than later.

You have to use the "Full Editor" mode to edit the title. Clicking edit puts you in the quick editor. Just like there's the quick reply, and then the "More Reply Options" button that puts you into the full thing with attachment uploading and all.

Okay, so it seems the common thread is those of us who got accidentally banned, then the ban got reverted, lose these for some reason.

We're in touch with IP Board today trying to work through this bug. If we don't see a fix today I'm hopeful we'll at least be able to give you an ETA on a fix.

Ok! Sounds like this is a known bug on IP Board. They've said that they are going to fix it. If you don't see it fixed by tomorrow at this time then I'm going to have to not be nice to someone over there.
