We now have a release date. Time to start the speculation.
12/12/12 right_
I'm willing to bet it'll be delayed. Video games love getting delayed. I want to say a little over a month, possibly 2 or 3, but no more than that. I don't mind waiting myself.
The only thing that I feel might bring it out on that date is the F2P model, since regular updates mean it doesn't have to be 100% finished at release and they need make some dosh.
So yeah. Bets.

I think it will be on time. Gives them plenty of time to get the game together. (The original date was Q1/Q2 2012)

Edit: 12/12/12 is open beta release date.
Closed beta will begin sometime before that.

If this is really a full Beta it better be free to play like Team Fortress 2! I played the Beta for Unreal Tournament way back when and that felt more complete and refined than this. If this is the entire game they plan to release they have at least another 6 months before publishing (making game disks, advertising ect.) and another 2-3 months for retail release. Lets just hope this is a engine test for the physics and servers.
