For those pilots who are not so familiarized with the use of acronyms. For one reason or another.

It's well known that Americans love acronyms. Others like to simply use acronyms because these help them at making posts faster.

So here's a list of the most commonly used acronyms:

Very common acronyms:

ADH / AG: Adhesive Games tag. -> [ADH]
ME / MTR: Meteor Entertainment tag. -> [MTR]
HWK: Hawken general tag. -> [HWK]

HC/MC: HWK Credits / Meteor Credits (Game money), well from Adhesive Games or from Meteor Entertainment.
MMR: Match Making Ranking.

Admin: Administrator.
Mod: Moderator, game modification.
Biz: Bussiness.
COL: Community Opinion Leader.

OS: Operating System.
CPU: Core/s Processor units.
GPU: Graphics Processor unit.
RAM: Read-Access Memory
HDD: Hard disk Drive.
Pen: Pen drive.
Win: Windows.
Mac: Macintosh.
DLL: Dynicamic Link Library.
DX: Direct X (Microsoft Graphics Library) / Assembler instruction.
Box: Many times referred to a computer.

RMB: Right Mouse Button.
LMB: Left Mouse Button.
MMB: Middle Mouse Button.

General gaming:

GDD: Game Design document.
WIP: Work in progress.

Modding: The art of making game modifications.
Modder: Game modifications artist.
Mod: Game modification (see above, moderator too; use context to clarify).

CB: Closed beta (1,2,3).
CBE: Closed beta event.
OB: Open beta.

FPS: First Person Shooter.
RTS: Real Time Strategy.
RPG: Role Play Game.

COD: Call of Duty
BF: Battle Field.
TF: Team Fortress.. / Titan Fall.

F2P: Free to Play
P2W: Pay to Win. -Play to Win or Pay to Win... that is the question™. ( Kidding, right_ )

Promo: Promotion.
Lvl: (Mech) Level.
CQC: Close Quarters Combat. ( Also seen as QCQ* )

FL: Friends List.

Teams!: Teams balance. -Most of the times pointing to teams unbalance and requesting a solution.

IAl/ial: I arrived late.
Cu / Cya / See ya: See you / See ya later.
AFK: Away from keyboard.

Bbl: Be back later.
Ttyl: Talk to you later.

Noob / Nub / noobie: Newbie / New player.

STFU: Shut the frak up.

OP: Original post/er,  *Optimization point -obsolete-, Overpowered.
UP: Under powered.
Buff: Make "it" better or more efficient/powerful. Referring to mechs, internals, items, weapons, Etc.
Nerf: Make "it" less efficient... Also referring to stuff as the ones mentioned above.
OT: Off-topic.
TL;DR: Too Long; Didn't read.

PM: Private Message.
POV: Point of view.

Game modes and related stuff:

MMR: Match Making Ranking.

MP: Multiplayer.
SP: Single Player.
MA: Missile Assault game mode.
DM: Death Match (FFA, game mode).
FFA: Free for all.
TDM: Team Death Match game mode.
Siege: Siege game mode.
S1, S2, S3: Missile silos in MA games.
AA: Anti-Air - AA! (go to the Anti-Air!)
Silo: Missile Silo.
BS: BattleShip.
BT: Base turret.
E1, E2, E3: EU devices in Siege games.
EU: Energy Units ( Siege game mode ).

Co-Op TDM: Cooperative Team Death Match game mode. Played Vs. AI bots. IF there're free slots in your team. AI bots will join in your team for a better team-balancing.
Co-Op Bot Destruction: Human pilots teaming up and playing as a party Vs. AI mechs / bots. Check the official site for further details.

TS: Team Speak.
Raid / RC: Raidcall.

Combat chit-chat:

TTTT = TOW To The Teeth
TTTF = TOW To The Face

Noob / Nub / noobie: Newbie / New player.
Team up / Party up: Referring to create a party of pilots to play as a team.
EU!: - Collect Energy / enery required!
Push!: Move forward! - Be offensive! or More preassure! -in game.

Don't team up!: Seen in DM game modes when players unnaturally team up during a DM match. Not fair-play and will make you to look bad if you do so..
Stick together!: Or team up! Or stay together... seen in team game modes and of extreme importance to survive.
AA!: Everybody go to the AA! (Siege mode). Collecting EU has no sense anymore; it's time to conquer/defend the AA.

GG: Good game.
VGG: Very Good Game.
WP: Well played.
VWP: Very well played.
Teams!: Teams-balancing required. Auto-balancing can be applied when required by the game (This may break Parties..).

Items/countermeasures:

CMU: Counter Measure Unit. [Also known as just CM]. Only useful now in Co-Op Bot destruction game mode.

EMP: Electro Magnetic Pulse.
H.E / HE: High Explosive Charge.
*BC: Battery Charge. [Counters EMP effects].
RC: Repair Charge / Health Orb.
Holo: Hologram. -Also see: Holo taunts (press H)/ Mech animation taunts (press G).
E-S(hield). Energy Shield.
Blockade: Energy Wall.
Det/s: Detonator/s.
HE/s: H.E. Charges.

Weapons:

Vulcan: Point-D-Vulcan.
AR: Assault Rifle.
SMC: Sub-Machine Cannon.
EOC: EOC Repeater -Explosive Ordnance Chain.
HFM: Hell Fire Missiles -Hellfires. (HF: HellFire / HFs: HellFires).
Flak: Flak cannon.
Mini-Flak: Mini Flak cannon.
Clamp: Corsair-KLA*.
KLA: Corsair-KLA.
Bolt: T32-Bolt.
GL: Grenade Launcher.
Ripper: Hawkins RPR - HRPR.
Heat: Heat Cannon -High-Explosive Anti-Tank.
HS: Heat Seeker.
REV: Revolving Grenade Launcher.
MIRV: Multiple Independently Targetable Reentry Vehicle.
MAMA, BABY, PAPA or M4MA, BBY, PPA: Refer to the Incinerator mech weapons

*Heating: Accumulated Weapon/s heating / Overheating. Wait for cooling down for a short period of time your weapons to use/fire again.

"Fred": CR-T Recruit, microwave, owen, TV mech.
"Zerker": Berserker.
"Inf"/"Infil": Infiltrator. - Heat Infil: Infil equipped with a heat Cannon, EOC Infil: ...
"Fatty": Brawler.
"Rock": Rocketeer
"Scottie": Scout.
"Gordo" / Fat / Gren: Grenadier. - Heatier - Grenadier with heat...
"SS": SharpShooter.
Tech / "Techie" / Tek / Medic: Technician. -TRO: Tactical Repair Ordinance pilots.
Cupcake: C-Class Heavy Mech - Vanguard initiative's Cupcake.
Incin: Incinerator.
G2: Special variant of a previously released mech - G2 Assault, G2 Raider, Etc.
G2 Salt or G2S: G2 Assault.
G2 Raid or G2R: G2 Raider.
Pred / Pretzel: Predator.
"Fatfiltrator": Grenader with Heat Cannon (primary weapon).
Van: Vanguard.

Coding / Values / parameters:

_par/param: Parameter.
_err: Error.
_msg: Message.
_sys: System.
_lib: Library.
_onj: Object.
_cam: Camera.
_scr: Screen / script.

MMR: Match Making Ranking.

AoE: Area of effect.
AoD: Area of damage.
ROF: Rate of fire or Fire rate.
DPS: Damage per second.
LoS: Line of sight.
DoT: Damage over time.
TTK: Time to kill.

HP: Health point/s.
EU: Energy unit.
KS: Kill Streak
SK: Steal Kill / Savior Kill. -rarely used.
MK: Multi-Kill.
XP: Experience.
K/D: Kills / Deaths ratio.
D/R: Damage Ratio.
*OP: Optimization point -also known as Skill Point. -See above for other meanings... *[Obsolete].
