Hey guys so I was thinking it would be awesome to get a joystick for this game just to make it that much more realistic so to speak. I've played a few flight sim combat games and I used a flight stick for some of those which really adds to the "coolness" lol. If you guys have any suggestions for a good gaming joystick leave me a link or comment. Or if you have one and plan on using it for this game let me know!

If Hawken lives up to its hype and becomes a game I play very often i may invest in a joystick. There are some pretty awesome ones out there. May have to go full Steel Battalion, if you know what I mean!

I used to play Mech Warrior with a joystick and now I'm all nostalgic. I might have to invest in one. Does anyone even know if the game supports them_

It seems like using a joystick would be akin to using an XBOX controller, which is a less-precise device for FPS-style games for most people than a good ol keyboard and mouse. Having said that, it's totally awesome in a mech game :) . Joystick + some good surround sound/headphones + Oculus Rift = goodbye real life.

I would so go Steel Battalion in this game if I could make room for the setup in my house but for now I'll have to go at it Virtual-On Style ;)

I believe I heard them say in an E3 video that they will be having a full system working by release to use joysticks and possibly even gamepads. So I'm sure whatever you want to use it will be supported.

Great stick! My WMF3D is on it's last legs. :(
Feedback and auto-center motors are almost toast and my left twist turn can only sit at 0% or 15-85%. This baby saw a lot of intense X3 (and recently Artemis) use. RIP WMF3D, you served me well!

I don't care how much it costs, one day it shall most definatly be mine. I'd seriously build a custom cockpit w/closed walls, w/more unessary colorful lights and w/one comfy chair just for that thing.

I would if I had a dual joystick setup. I really don't see how you can have all the axes of movement comfortably with one joystick.
