So this seems mostly informational and not really driving to any particular point. Hence the lack of tl;dr im sure.

Relating directly to hawken though recent builds have lacked a certain "flash" to them. The flash is all aesthetic too. There was a particular build of hawken, cant remember if playable or not, where there was a lot of cool effects. The vulcan would shake the cockpit when fired, there seemed to be some visual feedback when getting hit, critical damage would cause sparks and alarms in the cockpit. There was a lot more feedback. There was also a level of going overboard. Too much bells an whistles, screen turning monochromatic with damage, muffled sounds, all that can be too distracting and detract from actual gameplay.

This isnt rose colored glasses. Gameplay now is much better. Over all though I think the game could use a visual makeover as far as effects and animations are concerned.
