I   got hawken to work on a Gateway Desktop GT5656 amd Athlon64, Nvidia GT630 using ubuntu 13.06 amd64 build using wine 1.5. i still need to do some more adjustments cause i have no sound and no full screen, but it plays. a little choppy maybe cause i only have 4GB ram. anyway any ideas to point me in the right direction for sound_

Itll never be a native linux game, its fuzzy bunny deep in directx. The most we can hope for is that they will work with us on wine issues.

got it done it plays but a little choppy major wine and driver issues also i might need to put in a sound card too along with ram....wait its not xmas yet...lol

Yeah more and more people are switching to 'nix systems because America has become a surveillance state (just like the N azis) in which every corporation (including microsoft (which has had a backdoor open to the NSA since the 90s), apple, google, verizon, etc) are being forced by the NSA (National Security Agency) to illegally monitor all of our habits which undoubtedly is NOT being used by law enforcement agencies but rather the corporate intrests of a select few.

In other words, please release a linux client if you value the privacy of your customers and your own as well.

And no, this is not a conspiracy theory as one of the NSA's agents has blown the whistle on the entire operation:



If anything, for security reasons,  it's well advised you push to turn your company over to linux unless you're happy with the fact that every calll you make (including skype), every app. you install, every email you send, every order you make, and every word that you type is being monitored, recorded, and analyzed...

Granted, the average American making less than 4-5 figures will have less of a need for all of this encryption (unless an IRS goon or bankster comes after your home and your family...take mind that nearly 300 thousand americans are doign hard time for not paying the banks off since 2006 even after the bailout which did nothing but enrich the rich) since a good portion of this spying initiative is being backed by the corporate elite. But if your company ever becomes a high profile target in which the data the NSA has stored on your entire company can be bought and sold for nefarious reasons...Well, it's better to be safe than sorry right_

Really dude look people just  need to use common sense when it comes to personal security doesn't matter what type of OS, email or browser you use big brother will always be watchin and besides if you read the fine print you allow the spYing to be used on you no matter what ISP you use. This is called the grey area of law and it will be never on your side.
