Here are my suggestions for the next patch:

MECHS
  • RECON
Class: B
Type: Utility
Family: Support
Role: Versatile combat supporter

Primary weapons:
  • DW-9
A close range weapon that releases a strong electric stream that can damage multiple targets at the same time. Charge the weapon to obtain greater damage.
  • Sub-machine Cannon (alternate primary)
  • Redox-02 (prestige weapon)
Secondary: Vielsei-WA

The Vielsei is a two-mode weapon, designed for both offensive and support capabilities.

-Offensive mode: This weapon launches a projectile that crosses the field with a similar trajectory of the Corsair-KLA long range function. When it hits the ground, it stays for a very short time until it's automatically detonated, giving it an mine function. If it hits a mech before that, it explodes giving also a small splash damage

-Support mode: Unlike the Helix Repair Torch, the Vielsei comes with a very unique support mode. After being launched, the projectile travels for a fraction of second before splitting itself on smaller rockets that behave like an Hellfire, but without lock. These rockets will travel in the air in an disorganized pattern, However always keeping a certain accuracy. When they approach a friendly mech, they assume a seeker function(a very small one, just to make things easier) then explode on the air, releasing the same "health stream" of the repair orbs repairing the mech. After a certain distance, if no targets were found, they will go to different directions, completely losing the accuracy.

Starting Item: Mine

A simple and easy item to use. Drop it on anywhere and it will explode causing a severe damage on a big range. Enemy players won't detect it so easily, only seeing it or staring for a longer time until it's revealed on the HUD. Players can deactivate the mine by giving it a few shots without any harm.

Ability: Support Specialist

For this one, have made three different possibilities so you guys can see what's better:
  • Increase your allie's overall damage slightly for a medium time within a relativetely small range.

  • Decrease your allie's heat generation slightly for a medium time within a relativetely small range.

  • Decrease your allie's damage received slightly for a medium time within a realativetely small range.
Tuning Systems:

Weapons Loader
Heatsinks
Armor
Cooling Units
Radar
Suspensions
Hydraulics

ITEMS

Mine:

A simple and easy item to use. Drop it on anywhere and it will explode causing a severe damage on a big range. Enemy players won't detect it so easily, only seeing it or staring for a longer time until it's revealed on the HUD. Players can deactivate the mine by giving it a few shots without any harm.

Mortar/ GL-Turret:

The same concept of our current turrets, but this one shoots an projectile similar to the H.E Charge, being able to hit enemies behind cover and in upper levels.

-Mechs that could start with this item instead of their current: Brawler, Grenadier, Assault.

FEATURES/MODIFICATIONS
  • Off-game features
-Espectator mode:

Nothing too hard to implement. Has been suggested several times and almost the whole community wants it.

-Global chat:

Just a chat where players can communicate with others  between and out of matches, without having to add them on friendlist.

-More ranks to mechs:

There should be more level ups on every mech's progression. Getting rewards for them it's what keeps people interested.

-Easier way to organize your mechs at the garage:

Clicking and dragging is very unpractical.

-More background songs:

Nothing wrong with our old theme song (I personally love it), but it would be cool to have different ones. You know, sometimes you have specific moods while playing Hawken.
  • In-game features
-Item camera:

There should be an option where you can change your view to an camera of your deployable item (mg-turret, radar, radar scrambler and etc). You could rotate it on 360º and toggle it up and down a bit. The item, if offensive, would continue to fire normally. Your mech would stay completly stationary while that, but there would be alerts if you're being attacked.

-Radar:

Put it back where it was. It's very confusing to see it with all the other HUD information.

-Enemy detection by HUD: Increase the time needed to identify an enemy by only aiming at it, but only on longer distances, where contact isn't iminent.

-Bring back the switch team option

NOTE: This post is a whole pack of suggestions, so please don't post that you didn't liked it if you didn't read it entirely. Some suggestions here have been posted several times by other players, I have no intents of stealing ideas of anyone.
This whole post was made in conjunction with StarGet.

It's a huge chunk of text, and subjective suggestions no less; I fear there's simply not enough people to read it to find those that are also willing to comment.
You made some decent suggestions here, though I dare say that some of them could have been described in way less detail to maybe have more people get through the post.
Mines, for example, just the name already gives everyone an idea what it does, so a description is only necessary if your idea differs from what everyone will expect by then. Though you admittedly got it spot on, that's as short as it gets if you want to write it at all. It might be a bad example, I just want to say it adds up. :)

Then there is common suggestions like "more content" and "more ranks" that I think most people feel no need to comment on, no matter what their stance on the matter is.

Oh, and please don't put the radar where it was.
Anywhere else, maybe, but not in the upper edge of the screen.

As for a Grenade Turret:
Why base it on the HE charge_
There is a perfectly working Grenade Launcher in the game, and a similar turret could be an item the respective mech starts with.
You know, because awesome.

Maybe put a Mech suggestion below the others, so people get eased in by small, quickly readable snacks on the way to larger text blocks_
Might also allow people to comment on specific things.

That said, there are actually threads for suggesting weapons and equipment, and stickied no less.
Yeah, I missed them until today as well.

How about a Snowflake Holo Emote_

If an enemy fires on me, intent to take my life, I can fight back, or I can turn and flee.
But if a "friendly" tech comes by, intent to take my dignity, I can do nothing.

Oh thank you for commenting. For one second I thought that the whole community was dead.
Yes I know it's a lot to read, but it's just that I like to be very clear when I say something, so there can be no misunderstoods.

And about the threads for suggesting weapons and equipment... I just don't like to post on them, but I can try.

Concerning the Global Chat suggestion, which I feel this game needs to implement as soon as possible, care should be taken that it doesn't cause lag issues, ideally on its own server.
