Several cosmetics were changed in the Ascension patch. They were replaced retroactively and with no warning. The only mention of the change I could find were the patch notes, which claimed them to be brand new. That would be generally fine, if they weren't sold for real money. Other players and I paid for the old design and are now stuck with the new version regardless of whether we like it or not.

We didn't pay for this.

Since there are no refunds on online purchases like that, the only logical solution would be to politely ask to revert to the previous design, however simply going back to the old version will be equally unfair to those who paid for the new one, so the final suggestion is as follows:

• Bring back old versions of the camos in addition to the new ones.
  
• Either let people choose the style of the camo or give two camos to all owners of said camo.

Hawken support proposes a "one-time replacement exchange for another skin", which might be a sound solution for some. You may file a support ticket to do that.

- both tide blus are just as cool as each other
-old hazmat way better
-new woodland is better

I agree. I bought all three camos before the Ascension patch and they were much better back then. So yeah, please give 'em back.

Wow, if I had bought tide blu or woodland grn, I'd be furious.  You don't just toss in another color that wasn't even in the old palette like that.  The people who bought tide blu bought a blue and white camo, adding green after the fact is just wrong.

Given the way the game applies camo to the mech, I don't want any camo at all.

Honestly, I'd prefer something as simple as custom textures. But you can't earn much money on that, so this doesn't happens.

I almost bought the old Tide Blu for my Rocketeer, but now I am glad that I did not, because the added green does not go with the color scheme I had planned.

It is not really fair to charge for something like a paint pattern, and then change it without warning like this. If they were HC purchases, it would not be quite as bad. But because they are MC purchases, it is really unfair to the customer. The entire reason to buy paint patterns is for what they look like, so changing what they look like basically turns them into an entirely different item.

If they wanted to have the new versions of these patterns, they should have added them as a new variant. Like Tide Blu and Swamp Blu, or Woodland Grn and Alpine Grn, instead of replacing the old patterns.

Right now i reallly miss the old tide blu. I was perfect on a slug reaper with some orange stripes.

I agree with you, its not very fair to get one of his favorite camo changed without notice.

I can understand taking the game in a different direction, but this isn't exactly encouraging me to invest time (and money) into customizing my mechs.

I had assumed the paint patterns that were changed were changed for reasons.

They probably should've mentioned it at some point.

The changes were for the better in my opinion, especially in the case of the hazmat camo.

Anyone who bought them before and is unhappy with the changes should get a refund.
