In an attempt to clean up my sig i decided i would regroup all my top posts and topic in a single place.

Who am i_ Just a humble man of average everything that has many diverse interest varying from video games, philosophy, cooking, music and much more. I live a simple life with little to no material belongings other than my computer.

What brings me to hawken_ I have been playing video games for most of my life. Counter-strike has been one of my most played games and after spending several years with LoL felt a bit burnt out and looked for something different. In the winter of 2011 i saw my first trailer for hawken and  was hooked immediately. Summer 2012 comes round and i sign up for the beta, reserve my call sign and start being active on the forums.

My history in hawken: I was just a forumite until i received an invite for the alpha stages of testing. I'd like to think it was partially due to my suggestions and overall solid contribution to the forums that i was selected, but for all i know i was picked a semi random from a bunch of nonames. Once i received my alpha invitation i took the Beta tester role very seriously, and still do. My objective was and is, to find bugs and design flaws and point them out to the developers so they can improve the gamers experience.

Part way through the Closed beta i noticed a lot of people misunderstood the basic game mechanics of the game and the lack of guidance provided by the game and its developers and therefore took it upon myself to provide the community with as much knowledge of the game as i could. I started making videos and guides to better the hawkenites experience. In an attempt to better myself and secure my place in the potential competitive scene of hawken i joined the Steel Killers clan. I chose to join the Steel Killers because the founding members had the most reasonable logic and what seemed to be the most experience with competitive gaming at the time in any active clan in hawken.

Eventually the game went into Open Beta and i kept up with my testing and guide making. I also stimulated community creativity with my contest. On december 29th 2012 took place the first hawken tournament. Humble as i am i was hesitant to join the Steel Killers team, but their insistance on my skill and knowledge forced me into participating in the tournament. Tournament whilst a bit unbalanced and not without its share of issue went well. Steel Killers to an easy victory and loss not a single match, not only due to their skill but mostly due to their strategy and communication.

Since then there has been a considerable amount of change in hawken. Not all of which i agree with. I try to remain positive and most of my criticism is not meant to belittle the devs but to make them realise the flaws in their designs. I still try actively to promote a better experience for new and old hawkenites, sharing of knowledge and communication between the devs and the community.

My future in hawken: The future is hard to predict. But for now i am here, offering my help to all who request it. Trying to build a better game and community, Reporting bugs and design flaws.

Feel free to friend me in game for a playfull experience.

Click me! I dare you.

Sry for the belated reply Dackstrus.

I have tried TF2 a few times. But there is so much going on, and i die nearly instantly it is not a very good learning experience.

I feel like i am getting to a point where i am a grumpy old gamer.

i'd really like to understand and appreciate TF2 a bit more.

i've gotten into Quake 3 lately, will work on my strafe jumping, map knowledge and respawn time.

RE: Software to draw on pix.
Ashampoo makes a product called SNAP (ver.6) that is a TSR screencapture with extensive art/type tools and other features. Go to ashampoo dot com to check it out - it's reasonably priced, I've used it for as long as it's been around and I think it is the best capture program, but it is the tools that make all the difference; asymmetrical selection tool, fixed, free, type, arrows, boxes, scrolling pages, timed captures, graphics, yada yada - the best; if you can see it, it will save it and let you annotate it before you save. Hope you like it.
