Issues Logging Into Game Client and Website

1. I fill in the credentials and hit enter
2. "Logging in" screen pops as usual for a few seconds
3. "Syncing account" screen pops in
4. "Connected to chat" pops in along with who all is online in my friendlist
5. But "syncing account" takes forever.... no syncing stats after that
Sometimes "syncing account" works fine, but instead "syncing stats" takes forever...
Sometimes it works if I wait 5 minutes or so, sometimes it doesn't. If it doesn't, I have to kill process and repeat.
Tried verify game cache in steam (no errors) and delete ini files (bug happens even with default ini files). Any idea what causes this_
EDIT: I didn't have this bug the very first day this game migrated to steam, but it started the second day.

Same here, that syncing account and/or syncing stats took a lot longer than usual for me yesterday. Heck I just closed the game with the task manager cuz I was impatient. And then the game got stuck on the sign-in sync! Next time it stopped responding without showing anything (black screen). Thankfully got it working following the instructions given by steam to exit steam and to delete the appcasche (or some folder with a similar name) in the steam folder and restarting the pc. I also removed the Hawken folder in my games before restarting. It took at least 4 mins to sync but it worked Still took longer than usual to sync matches afterwards, but for some reason I've become a lot more patient with syncing

Getting stuck on "syncing account" tab roughly every third match.
I see chat on the background, I hear countdown, but overlaying "syncing account" screen prevents me from taking any action, resulting in kick for inactivity.
"syncing account" screen stays even after that, preventing any interaction with the game and I have to kill the process altogether.
Happens mostly after end of a match, but sometimes right after log-in.
