Please, before you reply based on the topic title hear me out. (In light of the most recent nerf to the EMP {2/11/2014 patch}) With HP so low now, would it not make sence to bring back the normal function of the emp_ In any QCQ encounter the trajectory of the ism and emp are next to useless in my humble oppinion. Before you could just aim the EMP at the ground and hope the area of effect would land on your target. Now with the EMP on a timed delay, you cant even rely on that (Not to mention the arc trajectory makes landing a direct hit harder than ever). I use to carry an EMP in all my light mechs for survivability, currently its just taking up space that I now need for a repair charge.

Suggestion: Instead of packaging the EMP in an ISM projectile, how about stuffing it in the Detonator rocket and returning it to detonate on impact_ Please_

EMP has the most powerful item effect in the game. I think most people would agree with me on this one. It HAS TO be at least moderately challenging to use to make up for this. Personally, I still find it overpowered when thrown at a group.

EMP can be very dangerous, but it's very obvious when someone tosses it head on and avoid. It's more useful as a support item, like stopping a big group or Incinerator.

Running directly to/from sniper fire means you'll die tired. Taking cover gives (Ke-)Sabot time to reload.

EMP is great for C's but awful for A's because A's can avoid it while C's can't

I think it needs some re-balance

Improve the collision on this item and the ISM. I'm tired of seeing these items fly straight through other mechs.

In one situation I snuck up behind a Heavy in turret mode and fired the EMP straight at its back. The projectile skidded across the ground and straight through the Heavy as if it wasn't there. The heavy player saw the projectile appear in front of it and turned around and I got walloped. Just awful.

I'm not much content with its current distance/range (no matter if you're holding the fire button for a good while..) not very content; so to speak.. Or is it just me_

Even if it doesn't connect, it sends 'em scrambling away better than an explosive. No buff or nerf necessary imo.

EMP is one of the strongest internals right now. It's stupidly large explosion radius more than overcompensates for the skill level needed to position it accurately...

I think you mean items, not internals.

Nevertheless, I think the EMPwell  deserves its own wave-sound -once you throw one on the battlefield- right now. Don't ya_. It plays the same SFX as the Disruptor's one. Just an idea though.

EMP is stupid easy to avoid, even in turreted C. Boosting forward and diagonally away is typically enough.

I'll try shouting it again today: "Saturnine! Saturnine! Stop the spam, Saturnine!"
