Hello everyone, I've been rocking the scout recently and am having a ton of fun with it. I usually skirt around launching surprise attacks or taking objectives, and use the mini shotgun primarily.

I just have the scanner mk1 right now, I'm looking to buy a new item. What would you guys suggest given the recent changes_

I play pretty aggressively but being a scout I need to run away a lot. Having a mk1 item sucks when you don't want to die a lot...

All the items are useful!! I find that damage items on the scout are really useful. You can throw your TOW, Heat cannon/flak/minflak, and a h.e. charge or det so you can alpha strike. Its a hit and run tactic. Blockade is useful for retreating and can block all damage so you're not getting tracked down by snipers and hellfires from a distance. my 2 cents. If you have more specific questions i'd be happy to answer.

The scanner is the default on the scout and can provide information allowing you to get behind their lines and can make a successful flank.

Definetly shields mark III, not to cover up with them in the middle of a combat, the splash damage usually will kill you.  What I do is deploy them in the area i´m planning to use for my scape, then I have a few seconds of safety enough to get the hell out of the area.

Hmm, OK, thanks for the suggestions. I'll probably check out the detonator since that seems to be the easiest to use.

I love the scanner. Totally useful in knowing who is coming your way. Plus it helps your team out. Knowing when someone is coming around the corner giving them a tow rocket right in the face.

Absolutely get a small repair kit!!!
Learn how to drop and use it behind cover in between shots.
I use 1) a detonator 2) an emp or scanner 3) repair kit

The det is great for sneaking up behind heavies and hitting them all at once with the det and both weps.
Just be ready to dance and take cover...

Dets also break shields, for those enemies that throw up a shield right before you kill them.

Scanner is always useful, until someone drops a scrambler(rarely to never).

Extremely useful to avoid being ambushed, and finding the enemy team.

Running directly to/from sniper fire means you'll die tired. Taking cover gives (Ke-)Sabot time to reload.
Someone elses data of Hawken gear/mechs | and another one

repair kit is useful because of the short life of the scout it keeps you alife the whole time, I use scanner too and I find it awesome for CQC because nobody can get your back without knowing it
