I've sort of landed on the Sharpshooter as the mech I really want to practice with. I've used it some and had some good matches and some bad matches, but I was hoping I could get some advice specific to the mech.

What items and internals work best with it_ I'm looking forward to using the slug rifle, but I'm wondering if it's worth the reduced effectiveness in close range combat.

Any advice you have for me would be appreciated!

I like the slug rifle. Since the Sharpshooter is meant for sniping, with the slug and sabot rifle you have 2 powerful long range weapons with witch you can take away half of the mech's health in one shot (always fire the first shot with both weapons, and don't forget the Power Shot ability).

For the internals, I use those 2 (I can't remember names) that can repair your mech when you kill an enemy and when you are out of combat. Useful because it repairs your Sharpshooter when you are changing position.

Items: radar and one of the turrets. With radar you help your teammates locate the enemy and the turret can guard you if you are being flanked while in zoom mode.

Thanks for the replies guys. Just picked up the slug rifle and I'm having a blast.

Agreed. I saved up all of my HC and bought the Sharpshooter. It is nothing but awesome fun. I've just unlocked the slug rifle but cannot yet afford it. Looking forward to it.
