Breacher spread vs charge time

I don't have much time to test this. I'm wondering if a partial (say 50%) charge tightens the spread on the Breacher, or if its simply a matter of 'spike shot or full spread', regardless of charge.

Charged shot only does about slightly more than 2/3rds of an uncharged shot.
However, charged shots have a much larger effective range, and can also allow another shot to be fired quickly afterwards (allowing the Predator to do over 200 damage within a 1.5 second timeframe using only it's primary weapon.

After disabling signatures I found my forum-browsing experience had improved marginally.

As far as I know, there is no benefit to a partial charge on the breacher.

The only advantage I can think of is this. I usually partially charge my shot so I can line up my shot better up close. I don't know, personally it helps me not miss. Doesn't actually do anything in game, just gives my brain an extra split second to calculate the shot.
