@topic,
I think the devs make the weapon similar since they both are used on a lot of mechs.
Damage increase shouldn't be done on the TOW though, in conjunction with increase in speed...
I've been hit by so many TOWs already by many good players. Give them increase speed and damage and I think they just make TOW their primary weapon instead.
I'm in for increase blast radius and slower speed for GL, while faster flying speed for TOW (lowering or keeping blast radius same doesn't concern me though, since I usually eat them whole. Damn pros)
So darn broke :(

Anyway back to topic. I think TOW just needs adjustment because it is just best secondary weapon available for a bit all ranges.
