Greetings pilots!

Soon we'll be releasing our May Update for HAWKEN. New camouflages, player emblems, mech taunts and a new repair drone are being added, as well as additional balance changes, bug fixes and general improvements.

A prestige weapon for the Technician has also been added! You can find the details on it below in our "Weapons" section.

Below are the detailed patch notes for our minor update. Enjoy!

Special Notices

[*]Thrusters and repair drones have been made global. If you buy one for a single mech, they are now unlocked on all mechs. This works retroactively with previously purchased thrusters and repair drones. Due to this change, the prices of thrusters and drones have been adjusted.
[*]24 player Mayhem Servers are available again in some regions.
[*]Added "Exploration Mode", a new single-player feature that allows players to explore each map with no time limit. Hit TAB to toggle between 3rd person and 1st person perspective.

[*]Unlocking the M1 Desert Flak camo after ranking up a mech will no longer unlock it for all mechs
[*]Fixed a bug in VR Training where invisible projectile collision hindered progression during the target drone training
[*]The 4th progression card no longer is blank when a new account logs in for the first time
[*]Fixed a bug where player would spawn in the air near S1 on Front Line
[*]Private Servers – Cleaned up messaging when using admin commands to switch from a Co-Op to a VS game
[*]Private Servers – Fixed a bug where "adminlogout" was not working
[*]Private Servers - There are no longer MMR restrictions when joining private servers

So that's 14 dps_ Is that right_ PLEASE tell me I missed something, because the RPR is 99 dps, the Redox is 78 dps, and the Helix vamp beam is 20 dps.

WHY WOULD I EQUIP A WEAPON *WORSE* THAN THE HELIX VAMP BEAM_

Someone please tell me there's a 0 missing of the end.

Woot!! Finally a reason to buy some thrusters, just exactly what I've been saving my 800MC for! BTW I think taunts should be global as well. They used to be available for HC, making them MC-only felt like a rip-off, so maybe making them global will compensate abit...

EDIT: BTW I don't think it's 14DPS, that would be silly.. maybe it's 14*3 (round bursts)*2 (two shots per sec) = 84 DPS_

well, in my case i dont mind the Repair drones, but i have bought the Yarost Thruster like 3 times, and the ReEntry Thruster 2 times.

I can do math AND reading comprehension. It doesn't specify damage per shot, or dps. It just says

DAMAGE: 14

That's why I'm asking for clarification.

It has a 3 shot clip so . . . 42 damage per clip_ Rate of fire is 0.5, so 28 dps then_ Is there a 0 missing from the damage (140)_ They misspelled 'Presige' so anything is possible. I mean really, we need some clarification here.

• Mayhem_ 12-person teams_ I don't know what this is, but I like the sound of it!
  
• PN-223: About time a prestige weapon was added. It'll take a lot to tear me away from my Hawkins-RPR, though, and those stats do not look like enough to me at first glance.
  
• G2 Blitz: Time will tell whether or not this makes the mech not feel needlessly bad. Glad a change has already been made!
  
• Yet more emblems is always good.
  
• Can't wait to see this Bomber drone. (Lol, isn't this from co-op bot destruction_)
  
• I really like the first and third camos. Maybe I'll buy one or both depending on what they look like ingame.
  
• Empty server filter: As a player with high MMR (and therefore being barred from most matches), this is a godsend. I just hope it's checked by default.
  
• TDM bot chatter: Um, YES.

Simple changes I still want to see:

• Automatic weapon charging for T32 Bolt and similar weapons
  
• Mini flak and Reflak buffs
  
• Reaper ability overhaul

If I'm correct in the assumption that they mean a shot is 3 bursts with a 0.5 sec rate of fire.

7 x 3 = 21 @ 0.5/sec x 2 = 42 dps
14 x 3 = 42 @ 0.5/sec x 2 = 84 dps

The weapon does 42-84 dps

Here's my guess: 14 damage per shot in a 3-shot burst -> 42 damage per .5 seconds, or 84 DPS. Its burst fire nature means that this damage has the benefit of being front-loaded, similar to how the bursty slug rifle we know and love is a strong weapon despite its low overall DPS (only 52). But with a fire rate of 2/second, I just hope it's easy to spam like the AM-SAR, which lets you click a little bit early to fire the next shot instantly.
