I've been playing this game, still fairly new, and haven't seen nearly enough people using this mech. Probably really straight forward to the pros here, but figured I would share anyways!

Tech is considered a gimmick by many of the "veterans".

That is why you don`t see it much.

From what I've seen it is generally considered almost shameful to not get MVP as tech due to the absurd amount of free xp you get practically thrown at you.

Not demeaning your play by any means (#support4life). Also, your narration is really good. You should stream or do more videos.

Gameplay was better pre-tech. Hoping one day we will get options for servers to exclude the tech.

I say that the Tech is a noob class - easy to master, easy to play. As good of a class that it is, I still would rather fight my own fights rather than get assists from someone else. They can be really annoying on servers, but don't pose a threat on their own. All in all, they just aren't that good for grizzled vetrans. I've NEVER seen a rank 5 level 30 Tech pilot. Those things just don't happen.

As a level 30 player with a rank 5 Technician, I disagree!
Although I don't use it very often...

I think it adds am interesting, New gameplay variable that it's good for variety.

Maxxed out techs are all over the place. I often have to leave mine in the garage when someone else brings theirs. Hence why I am surprised when a team claims they can't muster one as a counter strategy...

Easy to master_
I've rarely seen any Tech in the EU region come close to my score, as I usually have a good 1-200 score lead on them. (TDM)
Unless you call getting a bad score ''mastering the Tech,'' but there are only a few people who are really good at it.

Not saying Tech is hard, as it's really easy.
I just find the idea that people who are bad at Tech get called ''masters of the Tech'' ridiculous.

I'm a rank 30 pilot with a lvl 6 Tech and I run it all the time.

I always make an effort to make all techs my primary target. They are very easy to kill even when they try to hide behind some big fella.

Yeah low HP makes them weak target. But remember that Tech during repair have time to watch radar for almost all the time. Smart Tech can hide from enemys only watching his radar. The most dangerous for Tech are Infiltrators and Predators. I played maaany matches using Tech with only 3-5 deatch and many finish kills.

If you don't like playing a normal tech then just go combat tech. Being a combat tech is actually quite viable since you can do a quite decent Dps and heal yourself at the same time. You can switch between a combat A mech and a medic. One mech, 2 roles; Tech is easy to handle, but can't say the same about mastering all of its utilities. It's the same as mastering any other mechs.

With tech its pretty easy to top the scoreboard, as long as you have decent teammates. You just leash the guy in first place, and whenever you feel like you or your host might be in trouble, run away and leash someone else. As long as you don't die and are always healing somebody, you should get a high score. If you want to get first place, you can leash the guy in first, and when he gets close to the enemies, leave him so he dies and leash someone else. Keep doing that until you're first. I prefer playing combat tech, primarily with the redox. It's like pew pew, and I enjoy unorthodox playstyles.

technician has a nailgun ...you can build tree houses and stuff .....or shoot nails to other mechs

If I see a halfways decent tech on the field I climb into an Infil or Pred and kill the fuzzy bunny out of them.

It is mind-boggling how many people don't understand the concept of KILL THE MEDIC FIRST.

Ya sure the Tech is really easy to use. But most of the Tech I see don't actually know what there doing. Once you master the Tech its a whole other story.
Also i only encountered a very few tech that know what there doing.
