Symptoms: When adding a pilot name to the friends list, the name of the newly added pilot does not appear until the friends list is closed and reopened.
To reproduce: Add a new pilot. Look at the list and note that they are not listed. Close the window and reopen it, magic happens and the new pilot name is listed.
