I've noticed that the game is locked to 60fps and I haven't found the way to change it. I have a 120hz monitor and I'd like to use all those hz in this game

Pretty sure you missed the whole "capped smooth" is click able you should unchecked it and once beta starts you'll use all them "hz".  and yeas double post

+1. Toggling capped smoothed frame rate doesn't seem to do anything right now.

You can circumvent this by going to DocumentsMy GamesHawkenHawkenGameConfig, opening hawkenengine.ini, then running a ctrl+f for "framerate" and either setting bSmoothFrameRate to false, or changing the max frame rate to whatever you desire. These options appear several times, make sure to find and change them all.

Even if we can change it in the config file, would be nice to have an option in the game menu to unlock the fps.

As we are talking about FPS, I'd like to see how many FPS I have in the game without the need of external apps (Fraps or Dxtory).

You can get an in-game FPS counter by opening the console (with the ` button, immediately left of 1) and entering "stat fps" without the quotations.

Generally modifying a config file isn't considered "modifying part or feature of the game". If it is, I'd like to report a bug in the ToS...
