Sucks that they said it can be downloaded before the servers open. Gonna suck when everyone downloads it at the same time.

I'm not 100% sure it's the problem, try updating DirectX, Net Framework ..

OS C: > Program Files > MeteorEntertainment >Hawken >InstalledHawkenFiles > Binaries > Win32 > HawkenGame-Win32-Shipping.exe will get you into the game. Whether or not this is an up to date version of the game client by the time 12PM PDT comes around is anyone's guess.

Same here. The thing is I haven't even downloaded the game client yet. Hopefully I can get it in time to try it out.

Unless you did it in the last few hours, your garage has probably been reset as part of the Alpha roster wipe. But, the beta'll be starting soon enough, and the offline trick still works (just go into binaries and run the executable out of there).

Some people here just don't get it

The current error for us who just downloaded the 15MB installer, is:

Unable to download metafile.

Mind you, we haven't even gotten to downloading the full beta game-client yet, nor can we actually get to downloading it.
We just have the installer installed on our computer.

Would be a shame if everyone who has that problem only gets to start downloading instead of playing the beta in just 4 hours.

Can you imagine the strain that this will have on the download servers in terms of bandwidth_

The issue has been resolved, at least for me anyways. I was able to finish the download for the metafile. And now I can get back into my garage. But still waiting for the servers to come online. 2hr 15min to go.

Thankfully what customization I had done yesterday are still there.
