This is the second time this has happened. It says Hawken has to be terminated even though Hawken continues to run just fine. If I ignore the error window, I can keep playing. If I close the error window, Hawken closes.

WHOO, Windows XP (is that real or just a skin_).

Not fake, I think... just some hiccup that the run time went into...
Reformat as a bug report (I don't know how that's done, but do a little search on the forums) so that others can be helpful

Somewhat off topic, but you should really consider upgrading to a newer OS soon as you can. Dunno if you're aware of it, but Microsoft dropped support for XP a few months back.

Yeah, but dude, we are at 1750. As much as we would like to be Professional Yolodrivers like you [Meraple] and Lightangel112, we're not there yet. It's something to aspire to, sure, but there's a lot of ground to cover.

That doesn't mean XP has stopped working. My system runs perfectly fine on XP. I WOULD like to upgrade but...

I know, but it does mean that your system is more than a little vulnerable.

Also, Newegg routinely sells OEM editions of Windows 7 home for half that. Usually during holidays and semi-random sales.

You can  try re-running the udk redistributable file.  If you delete and reinstall hawken it should run automatically.
You can also try and find it, mine is in the folder R:SteamLibrarySteamAppscommonHawkenBinariesRedist but yours would most likely be the file C:Program Files (x86)SteamLibrarySteamAppscommonHawkenBinariesRedistUE3Redist.exe

Let it run and hope for the best_
