Buying HAWKEN Codes from a 3rd Party

We wanted to take some time to address the issue of buying promotional and currency codes from 3rd party sources. Recently, players have been purchasing codes only to find that they have expired. In many of these cases, the support teams for these 3rd party sites have been directing players to us.
In light of this, we'd like to make our position on purchasing these types of codes clear.
Any code purchased from 3rd party websites or services is not supported by Adhesive Games/Meteor Entertainment.
We encourage players to use caution and discernment when considering a purchase. In many cases, there is no way to know whether or not the code has expired. The expiration dates on these codes were set by us deliberately and will not be extended.
We hope this helps players think more carefully before making these purchases. While we will not be actively punishing those who purchase codes, we strongly suggest refraining from it for your own security.
Thanks!

It would be a really cool feature if adh offered codes for sale for the purpose of gifting
This would be awesome. Anytime I've wanted to gift some MC I had to buy then third party, which is obviously risky.

As GaryFly suggested, this would be amazing for streamers. Giveaways would be so much easier if this were the case. It would also attract a bigger audience to Hawken through association.

There seems to be at least one exception to this though, since we at GamingForGood.net give away Hawken codes for charity donations and Meteor Entertainment is officially providing us those directly .

nope.. there are other groups that also get to give out free codes and have in the past. Part of promoting the community life =)
But giving away and purchasing are two different matters entirely.

only with good friends, i'd say. sometimes some friend can buy you a code and then you pay it 2 him for some reason........ that would be valid methinks.... ono_

I think we should be very innocent or not having experience against scams that may arise in cyberspace, this ceases to be common not so you need to think twice before engaging in Internet transactions, this because of their ease of cheating the unwary who want to buy something at a low cost thinking they are doing the business of the year.
Good advise is only new to not be fooled by these fraudsters living deception.
