I get this message very frequently: gpu driver has stopped responding and has recovered. This causes me to have to go into task manager then close it again to continue playing. This takes several seconds and about 85% of the time i'm back at the garage because someone(of course I would too) has blown my defenseless ass away. Anyone get this and have any suggestions. When I ask people in game they think i'm making an excuse for dying and blow me off. This is extra frustrating because my computer is very up to date i7 4770, GTX660 16gb ram Windows 8.1/64, 750watt power supply. It doesn't happen every match, but sometimes it happens several times in a single match. Nothing in game is worse then having a good kill streak going then FREEZE your dead. I know the person who kills me is thinking he's all cool for skillfully ending my streak but really he's done squat but gun down a defenseless mech. Please help, I've only been playing for about week and really enjoy the game when its working properly for me, but this is quickly turning into a game breaker. Thank you

I don't know if it will do you any good but try a support ticket: https://playhawken.z...sk.com/hc/en-ca
I have a ticket unanswered for over 3 months now...
And the dev's have been silent for 4 months...

U may consider...

Clean your tower and rid even the micro dust off all internal surfaces.
dust = micro shorts
also re-seat your grafx card and memory cards.

Google for a video on it if your aren't sure how.

this game works excellent under winXP, Vista, and Win7. windows 8___ hahahahaahah. sorry...not really. any version of w8 is intrinsically designed for touch-screen/touch-pad applications. Hawken isn't one of them.
you're on your own. even UE was originally designed around WinME/XP. if your Win8+ works, goody for you!
I suggest you get a modern OS such as Windows Vista or 7 loaded into your box, and try again. I'm not gonna say "downgrade" your OS, but there Are several really nice system loadups available on ThePirateBay.se (not recommending you "steal", meh if you already have a license, it's not really a "steal").  Clean wipe your HDD and load one up.
Then load Hawken, and join us.
I just told you what I did nearly 2 years ago. It's worked flawlessly since my Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit was installed, fuzzy bunny Win8. A dog.

:D
YMMV.

Don't forget to have the latest drivers installed as well.

Asus Rampage III Extreme - Core I7 920 - 16Gb G.Skill RipJawsZ - 2 EVGA GTX 560ti (SLi) - Cosair Hydro H50 cooler - Corsair CMPSU-1000HX - Antec DF-35
In space no one can hear you scream!

Try resetting all your setting to default, as described in step 3 of this thread: http://steamcommunit...52451325040024/

Make sure you use the part for win8 :)

The latest drivers can be a problem as in my case. I used ones from 2 patches ago. They were the most stable.
