ever seen a 300 pound gorilla go up and down a tree so casually with no hesitation_





this clearly shows us that silverback gorillas are probably    40  times stronger than us

I bet they wouldn't be that strong if they spent more time playing games and less time climbing trees.

No, they just have sweet foot-hands.  Why we didn't keep foothumbs throughout evolution is a tragic mystery, though perhaps we averted a terrible fate.  Vibram Fivefingers would not only be acceptable; they'd be the only practical option.

I recall a story in an orangutan park where a female reporter was grabbed by one and as about 30 people came to her aid each one was grabbed by and thrown end over end almost 30 feet to the side and in the air. There is a vid out there somewhere but yeah. Those APES are strong
