First off, some background. I am 16 and I live in Alaska. No, I have not met Sarah Palin, and yes, I do get WiFi in my igloo. I got into gaming when my dad bought me a ps2 back in 2004, and have been in love ever since. I have been pc gaming for almost three years now, and Hawken is the first game that I have played at a competitive level.
So what is it about Hawken that so delights me_ It's difficult to say really. In essence, Hawken is the game that I hang my hat on. This community, especially the guys (and gals) in vR, and of course my own clan TAW, is so supportive. There are so many players that will take the time to just have a conversation with you. I came because of the game, but I stayed because of the people who play it. That's right, all you fuzzy bunnies are awesome and I wouldn't be writing this if it wasn't for you guys.
Enough of the sentiment. I'd like to wrap this up by talking about both my position in the community, and where I see myself headed. The first thing that comes to mind when I think about position is rank, but we don't have any of those yet:/ I am a 2575 mmr player, and a relative newcomer (playing since March), so I know I still have a lot to learn. Currently, I am pretty heavily involved in TPG, and am super excited for this upcoming season. It has been a great honor to captain a team this year, as well as a tremendous learning experience. Recently I have branched out and started to record gameplay, and I plan on counting to do so due to the lack of content from 2500+ players. As far as moving forward is concerned_ I don't think anyone REALLY knows where this game is headed but I CAN say one thing for certain. I'll be there. Playing, hosting, recording, competing, and continuing to do my best to give back.
Thank you all for reading. It would mean a lot to me to get some feedback on my videos so if you haven't seen them I'll put a link to my YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube....rmA_app=desktop

Thanks again, and I'll see you on the battlefield. Merl out.
