I think that this game mode could use a new game mode, it would be a defence mission, here is how it would play out.
(if you have read the hawken comics then you know my idea already.)
You would have a large vehicle in a narrow canyon, this vehicle is transporting precious fuel back to your base.
The defending team is in the canyon, following the transporter.
The attacking team (which could be bots) is engaging the transport as it's primary target.
It takes anywhere from 2 minutes 30 seconds to 5 minutes to carry each load back to the base from the facility. After every delivery, the enemy would become slightly tougher.
This to me sounds like a fun mission type, if anyone is interested I can elaborate more on it, but for now, fight on pilots.

How about this: 3 turreted rocketeers forming a C-class train (choo-choo, all aboard the pain train!) Depending on the map (let's say bunker) they need to get from point A (the sea) to point B (opposite form sea). 3 defenders and 3 attackers. Defenders win if the rocketeers reach point B and get out of turret. Attackers win when they destroy ALL rocketeers.
Variable: 4 attackers / rocketeers are allowed to only use hellfires.
Could be fun to try out in one of the events.

Mech Escorts sit well with the lore. It sounds like something you could knock up quite easily on an empty Bazaar server maybe_ It would need a big map to work though...

There are actually a number of ways you can do this. But yeah. I could see the attacking team needing quite a bit of restrictions to make this work.

Alternately you can buff the Brawler's health to obscene levels but the method for doing that is utterly time consuming.

Either way, giving the defensive team an advantage like that does seem like a good idea, but the transport would have to be pretty weak armoured...but then that would introduce the problem with Infils, Scouts and Preds just doing peek-a-boo tactics...

We tried a variation on this tonight at the EU Event, 3 turretted rocketeers in train not doing anything except walking from A to B, 3 defenders and 4 attackers. Rules were one try, not respawning for attackers when they died. That needs some work I think.
I say let's just keep trying variations of it until we find something that works. WW, UVW, WFTF, all of us.
EDIT: @Pelax: multiple stages would be great, but only until we get this first stage balanced
