I haven't seen any proof of anything, but to me it smells of a DNS redirect record not being updated correctly and nobody noticed it.  As I said in my other post, I had to flush the DNS cache and fight with chrome for about 5 reloads to get it to show the forums again.

Does it matter if the forums are back up if the Dev's can't communicate_  All I have been reading is a bunch of bitching and nothing productive to read.  So, I added this to keep it non-productive.
