I think this game is awsome but play with Steam, I don't think that good much. So many thing on Steam quite annoying. Why we can't play Hawken with normal install without Steam.

You can play Hawken without running steam. The only thing steam does is let the game update.

Heck, I suppose you could even uninstall steam after letting it download Hawken if you really hate steam that much.

Just run: Steam\SteamApps\common\Hawken\Binaries\Win32\HawkenGame-Win32-Shipping.exe

Before, HAWKEN had a stand-alone launcher. That's how it was for about a year and a half. Moving to steam was mainly to get more people to play the game. If you like, you can pin the hawken.exe file in your taskbar, and launch HAWKEN without opening steam at all.
