Passive abilities are abilities which get not activated by the user but automaticly, every mech should have one, these are designed to encourage sticking together with your allies.

List of passive abilities per mech:

Scout: +1 m/s per friendly mech within 15 m
Assault: +3% rate of fire per friendly mech within 10 m
Brawler: +5% armor per friendly mech within 10 m

While an interesting idea, couple flaws. 1 minor, 1 major.

minor:
10-15m in game is a mech standing on top of you =p probably should be more around 50-75m at the least.

major:
it would result in a lot more deathballs. Which simply put.. are dull/boring/lack anything interesting.

I feel the game currently needs to be able to expand out more. While we don't need everyone to lone wolf, being able to isn't a bad thing. Currently flanking means you could just die really fast because you have no cover or friends to peel.

PreAscension heavy armor, violent OP weapons, 3 hour Sieges, and heavy mechs that actually turret. or just slap 'em with humongous armor hp and get rid of the goofy samurai shoulderboards.

Make me happy. Just give me something big and nasty, then let me take it out and blow up Stuff with it.
