I am also having this problem, never happened to me in Alpha. I have very mixed feelings so far about the beta client.

Last night I could join. It was a hit and miss with some servers but today no such luck

Happens to me to. But I am accepting, it is a closed beta after all. They gotta work out all the bugs. Sure, this kind of bug should have been delt with in Alpha, but it's better to see it now then when the game is fully released. So I'm not really upset.
