Hi guys,

i was wondering if the developers would give the  Alpha / Beta - tester /players  some kind of an exclusive reward in the final game _
Something like an exclusive skin or a add-on or maybe even a exclusive mech or weapon_

I really would like that to see : )

keep me informed.

Alpha people are getting something.
Alpha people who participated in a Alpha ending even get an extra something.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Closed Beta testers get something too.

However, things like an exclusive mechs or weapons is just silly.
At best expect a cosmetic item.

The joykiller said everything I was going to say.

No announcements have been made by Adhesive or Meteor about Closed Beta rewards yet. The rewards for Alpha and the Alpha 2 Dev Hunt (the last 12 hours of A2) have not been announced, just that they will be given out by 12.12.12. And the devs have said they'll probably be purely cosmetic.

It wouldn't be fair to penalize people for not getting into the alpha, months before open beta, with being unable to get some crazy new class of mech.

One or two of the developers have commented that they're heading in the cosmetic direction. If I had to guess, I'd say a unique paint job is pretty likely.

We're holding out for our BSOD/GERTY TV mech skins.

I requested that Fred (the TV Mech, aka the Assault's default frame) get a Windows BSOD on the front of the model, over the "TV" as a death animation . Deuy (a dev) liked the idea and said he could probably do that, but he didn't say anything beyond that, so that doesn't mean it's going to be the alpha rewards. Someone else came up with the BSOD idea, too, so don't credit me.

I participated in the Alpha 2 .. so does that count _  Cosmetic skins are my favorite rewards

I think cosmetic reward is the best way handle this, and I truly hope they bring more cosmetic options!! but I also hope that you can identify opponent by looks, or somekind icon atleast...

The only reward that should be given to people that got into Alpha or Beta is the ability to play the game early. Getting into an early phase of development is pure luck.

Some people have put a lot of actual effort into their testing, beyond simply "playing" it. And for a large number of people, the experience was anything but smooth, and some people haven't gotten to play.

So, I think a cosmetic reward is reasonable for a situation like this. Not everyone went above and beyond the raw basics, but some people did.

I participated in Alpha but I wasn't able to play on the final day. Apparently I missed a reward for that . Any way I can get it anyway_

We'll have to see. They might announce something later on. Or maybe not. Who knows_ As for us alpha's and our reward_ I'd like to see something worthwhile. A paintjob, while it can be universally applied to mechs. Doesn't exactly seem too impressive. My guess is that they'll probably expand the customization options. So maybe we'll get something we wouldn't have expected. I think I'd rather the devs come up with something on their own rather than the community just start suggesting nonsense and the devs go with it because it's "popular".

Well its a sort of "thank you" for participating and feedback. Alpha and Beta testers can give alot of constructive feedback on their job so far. Its not that i expect something for in return ( i' m already very greatfull that i had the experience to play the game) but this game has been improved by us. And whenever somebody helped me with my work i always give something back in favor.. just a little gesture you know

A lovely skin or some camouflage who knows.. something cosmetic. I would love to reconize some fellow tester years later in this game through that.

I got into the Alpha, but didn't play much. I'm enjoying the Beta quite a bit though. The point I'm making is why should there be any reward besides being able to test a product before others. How is that not enough of a reward_
