It launches November 20th, so if there's no Vanguard Initiative by that day, the membership trumps it.

Nope, that's a doctored image. Kiwi had gotten into the alleged "beta" and had played it for quite a few hours. Upon closer inspection, Kiwi had actually been playing Rome: Total War for the past 4 hours.

The event was also how Kiwi learned that he, somehow, had Rome: Total War installed on his computer.

Well, something might've held up the works. Maybe things changed at the last minute.

At any rate, all it means is that you have to wait a bit to hand Adhesive/Meteor your money. Have we really missed much of anything except an announcement_ I don't think anyone here has lost anything except a bit of patience.

I think the reason so many of us are impatient is that they announced it pretty much alongside CBE2, and so most of us figured we'd get news about what it was during CBE2.

Here we are, in the last day of play (last 12 hours of it, actually!) and still nothing. Understandably, some folks are a little frustrated by that.

Thank you for your excitement about the Vanguard Initiative! We're so happy that you want to give us money! ;-). However, your money is serious business. We want to be sure to do this properly and that that tool is in tip-top shape before we launch it.

This is the truth. Kiwi had actually reserved the name way back when you could reserve a call sign. However, it wouldn't let Kiwi use the name when they changed sites or whatever.

That's not the problem, the problem is we simply want to know what's in it for those price points.
