I get it that everyone has their own opinion but at the same time, if you don't like how the game plays then go play something else and stop trying to change what is already an awesome game just to suit your play style. Removing the sideways boost is the start of removing what Hawken is all about - fast, action packed mech combat!
Maybe you might like MWO (Mech Warrio Online) better_

That said, no way. This would make some classes, like the Brawler and Rocketeer, incredibly devastating. Sharpshooters as well.
A coagulated, gloomy thinking in the intelligence, as my major ego.
An antinomian theorem of behaviorism, in all of my thinkings.
It's what we call "The Inversion Impulse."

Excuse me, my sinuses are acting up.
Kind of allergic to horrible ideas.

You're suggesting that a core mechanic of the game be removed. You absolutely cannot do that without fundamentally changing what the game is and how it plays. You mind as well be asking to remove jets or switch to a limited ammo system.
Please think through your ideas more thoroughly in the future. The game is in beta, and while that means there will be changes, and core mechanics may be tweaked, completely removing or changing them is, at the absolute least, extremely unlikely.

Side jump is essential for A classes and is useful even for C classes. Is the only way to dodge effectively high damage weapons.
Learn to use it properly before whining about a core mechanic.
