I even turned off my systems AV to try see if that was blocking it.

This topic has been open since yesterday, one would hope in a CLOSED beta someone would be interested enough to comment... if its a known issue , put it up on a list ( I do look for FAQs and stickied help notices).

EDIT: I had forgotten to uninstall the alpha client first. Thus, after uninstalling Hawken through control panel, manually deleting the install folder, and then re-installing to a different directory - now all is good.
