i can launch the launcher and log into my hawken account but directly after "downloading manifest" it says "unable to determine current version."
unable to play game.

Same here... seems the game simply doesnt want me to play , last event my account lost access to the closed beta section , then I couldnt get the game to download... now again.

Guess I'll go back to MW:O , I can at least launch and play that game.

I even turned off my systems AV to try see if that was blocking it.

The devs read the forums even if they don't have time to respond to every single thread. Don't assume that you are being ignored just because someone didn't drop everything they're doing to come give you an explanation in a short amount of time.

Run as admin, try again later, file a support ticket if necessary. But be patient.

I tried the support ticket in CB1 over an issue... support answered it days AFTER the event, and only to inform me the ticket was closed.

This topic has been open since yesterday, one would hope in a CLOSED beta someone would be interested enough to comment... if its a known issue , put it up on a list ( I do look for FAQs and stickied help notices).

Same issue, here, I missed the last CB, just downloaded the Hawken installer.

Same issue, had it for awhile actually. Hawken worked fine on my initial launch, but I got that on another try and I had it ever since.

Same problem here, but assumed it was because I'm running Windows 8. :(

EDIT: I had forgotten to uninstall the alpha client first. Thus, after uninstalling Hawken through control panel, manually deleting the install folder, and then re-installing to a different directory - now all is good. :)

The only time the game has let me on was the first day I played, well I wouldnt say "played", more like attempted then the game shut down for no reason, like my i7, 8gb RAM, and Nvidia 2gb graphics card were nothing to it.  Now I got THIS stupid thing saying it can't recognize itself...WTF_!_!_!_!
