Game Crashing at launch

Was able to play first day of install, now it get this when trying to launch.

I've tried a uninstall/reinstall
I don't have an AMD system..

lol. I feel dumb. I do have an amd CPU, its a 9550 black. But that tinyurl link doesn't work, or atleast the download button from the page it loads doesn't.

...That issue almost always only happens on Dual-Core AMD processors. Are you sure it's a 9550 Black_

Grab CPU-Z and make sure that's what it says it is.

Also, are you on Windows XP_ This apparently no longer happens in Vista or Win7.

Yeah, its definatly a 9550 black -- quadcore. I'm on windows 7

Extremely strange then. The optimizer was really only used for dualcores - a combination of better sensing tech and new OSes rendered it generally unneeded in later OSes, or so I thought. Hmm.

The error you're getting is basically that the game is seeing radically different rates of speed on your multi-core processor. Core A might be running at, say, 2.6 GHz, while core B runs at 2.9. The game sees this as creating a negative delta time between frames (basically, frames somehow completing in under 0 milliseconds) and throws its hands up.

It's possible your BIOS is allowing your cores to go at different clock speeds. Can you set it so they all obey one speed in the BIOS, by any chance_
