I've noticed several times that shield bubbles will not be rendered at a distance or be rendered late, and when deployed will be present before visible by about a second. Its like the client doesn't render it in time. Given I play from hawaii. but as of recent my ping has been about 120. so a 1 second delay in visibility doesn't seem plausible from lag.
I have a high end computer and play on max settings, so that shouldn't be the issue, and even so, still would be an issue for those playing on lower settings.
