Randomly, when I am in the game in any menu or actually playing, Windows Explorer will crash. If am in a game, the screen freezes/can turn black for 2-3 seconds, but it does not tab me out of game. The game is really laggy and the frame-rate is low for about 5-10 seconds, but eventually it catches up and I can continue to play. If I tab out, I have the option to restart explorer.exe, but I don't because it will most likely crash and freeze me again.

This has never happened to me during the CBE1, but has constantly been happening to me in every or every other CBE2 game.

A few other people have posted threads about windows explorer crashing in the CBE1 section. Here are those links.

My crash does not occur with the launcher or alt-tab, however. Just randomly while playing Hawken or sometimes in the menu.

Two example problem signatures when it happens:

Hope this gets fixed.

You are running very dated drivers.

Go get the latest drivers then try again.

Ok will do Juicebox. Will have to wait until CBE3 to test, however. Thanks.

Additionally clean, if required, your CPU and GPU fans. Update your videocard drivers too (already been said).

Run Antivirus and AntiSpyware checks in your hard drive (C:).

Hope this helps

@The_Silencer: My pc is pretty clean on the inside, and I have performed scans with antivirus and antispyware. All clean. Thank you for your input.

I strongly feel it was due to my outdated drivers. Crossing my fingers and can't wait for CBE3 to find out!
