Please add a banner across the top of the forum and the http://playhawken.com websites to clearly indicate the status of the  closed beta servers.  An example is below:

BTW, I'd just put a text string saying something like "Beta Status" within the *top frame of the site's pages, to the right of the OB1's counter.

Red color = Nay ----- Green color = Yay!.

Don't see why this wouldn't work, definitely wouldn't hurt, and would resolve a lot of questions. It must be added!~

Indeed. This would stop a thread or two made by people wondering why they cannot play after a beta is over. I also suggest that game status be inserted somehow, such as letting know if maintenance is being done and or an ETA on when downtime will happen or when servers will be back up.
