Last I recall, if everyone on a team is shooting at the ship without the AA, it can take more then 5 launches before the ship won't die. Why not make it have 4 points, but make the ship not able to be shot down under regular fire so easy. Maybe two launches being able to be shot down without the AA.
The reason I suggest this is that I've been in a lot of siege matches with my guild, and it's come down to the wire many many times after the first two points were easy. Some people don't start getting into the groove until 20 minutes into the game, or because it's all random teams at the moment, people finally start to gel at that point, or decide to finally start talking with each other.
I just feel two points doesn't really decide which side is actually better, but which side decides to start working the fastest.
(Also, I'm upset about the server browser being removed, but that's neither here nor there.)

What made the matches artificially long was the fact you can spend so much time ignoring the AA during the beginning rounds.
Once the ships got to the point they couldn't be shot down without the AA, it would progress nicely.
Essentially, they've just removed a chunk of the fun portion of Siege, and left the bad part intact.
