Maybe this topic was before but...
Playing Quake Live u can record demo. It is the file containing all data of the gameplay (movements, firing weapons etc). Then u can play this demo in demo player (can be external app). In demo player u can switch between different views like players huds, floating cam or killcam. I think its good idea to implement it to Hawken. We could be able to create great hawken movies with spectator mode completly offline.
It coulde also usefull to track cheaters and feeders (ppl who goes to enemy team an standing still).

Doesnt unreal engine have demo recording by default? It just seems to be disabled for hawken.

Far as I know, it's not as simply as just flipping a switch or anything. Tribes: Ascend never ended up with demo recording because of how involved a process it was trying to add it in without the game being designed with it in mind.
