Hello, I have a problem with Hawken, I played with my old computer for 40 hours, now I have a new computer, installed and wont start.

I already try with the pinned suggestions but doesnt work and everythinh is up to date.
When I press the start icon on the desktop it launch and then it crash saying Hawken stopped working ... I cant even start from the steamapps file, or as administrator.
I tried to recreate the folders instructed here above but nothing. I have a Win 8.1 64 bit as well....
I have tried also with the old suggestions present on this forum related at the 2014, but the problem still happend.
Can someone help me please?

So I also tried to delete completely all the nvidia drivers and re installing them, same problem....

I did it because the nvd3dum.dll error but I was wrong ....

 

Any suggestions?

Have you tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling the game?

I'm sorry I don't have all the solutions but I am trying my best. I have also reached out to Nvidia to see if they can help since it's a driver crash you're experiencing.

Hi, you can try the following:

 

1. Check that you have "Microsoft Visual C ++ 2010 Redistributable Package" installed

2. Reinstall "UE3Redist" you find on: Steam / steamapps / cmmon / Hawken / Binaries / redist

4. Download and install the nvd3dum.dll

3. Try this link http://steamcommunit...49191386284415/

 

Important do a restart point before each change so you make sure to return to the starting point if something goes wrong.

I'm sorry I don't have all the solutions but I am trying my best. I have also reached out to Nvidia to see if they can help since it's a driver crash you're experiencing. 

i have AMD GPU and i am aware that this game is bias towards Nvidia but to BSOD and crash so much ...

Maybe you don't have the exact same problem as BigSkill. Did you already check if there is a Hawken-related error record in Windows' event viewer?

Ok i just try to start the game and it started, funny thing is I didnt do anything!!!!

He did automatically, so apparentrly is all fixed, i tried playing right now..... Regarding the minim requirements for playing, the game run smooth everything on high details so preocessor is grat.

Nope thats the funny thing, and also the automatic updates is desabled so..... I have no clue...

Last timr i tried was friday and wasnt working, been out the weekend and just tried again a was working....

Have you tired just installing, deleteing the Hawken folder under my games, and reinstalling the game? That always works for me. Maybe it is an issue with Windows. Maybe back your data off, wipe, and reinstall the system?

Hello, I seem to have the same problem and tried pretty much everything described to solve it, except the bit I highlighted.

Can anyone suggest where to download the nvd3dum DLL? I was not able to find it even in the NVIDIA website.

Click to Manual Fix, where it says  "dowload zip file", when you finished downloading unzip and come within the instructions so you know where you have to "copy and paste"
