So lately i've been playing siege(my favorite game mode) and while looking at how the enemy positioned under the AA I was struck by an idea.
What if the game had a support class, that used beams of energy to melt opponents and/or project a defensive unpassable barrier forward that allies can shoot through and enemies can't, a good idea to balance this is to make it work like turret mode does, the mech provinding the shield takes double damage when hit from the back while maintaining the shield, kinda like a guardian, and the opposite firing mode could be, to change the beam into a simple high-constant DPS weapon to just cut through a line of enemies, piercing them.
