I'm not sure what's happening, but today I'm getting extremely low fps. When I usually get 30-40 fps, today I'm getting a horrendous 10-15 fps, even on servers I'm near to. I've tried restarting the game to no avail, and some other people seem to be having the same problem. I can't possibly play well with this.

Is this because of the recent server changes or something server-end? If this can't be resolved soon, what are some ways to raise my fps?

FPS is client, not server.

Not sure what would be the cause of the problem, maybe if you're playing on the upgraded player limit servers? Could cause some rendering lag.

Try fiddling with your graphics settings a bit

My graphics are already on the lowest settings, and it's been like that since I picked up Hawken. Even the main menu is stuck at a measly 16 fps.

My problem is, I didn't change a single thing, my computer's resources aren't running low, it's just a usual day, but my game runs way worse than usual. I can't think of a reason that this would be happening because of my client.

Try setting your screen resolution lower in the game settings.

Try setting your screen resolution lower in the game settings.

When I set it to the lowest setting it raises the fps to 20, then drops to lower than 10 fps in a match.

I'd do a system restore to a point before you had trouble. Also if its a laptop make sure the power brick has a good connection to the wall socket.

I'd rather have system restore as a last resort thing...

If you used to have custom INI files for better fps, know that they are now rewritten after every gaming session.

Some laptops have performance settings. Mine for example is an ASUS laptop and has a "performance" mode and a "power saving" mode. When in "power saving", the game runs poorly, but it's when I set the "performance" mode that the GT 740M unleashes its full power. I even play at medium settings with a framerate above 60.
