Translation as far as I know is piked or spiked helmet.

Well I'll be, I thought it was a BBQ, you build a fire underneath then put hotdogs on the spikes therefor cooking them.

To be honest, I always thought the helmets were cool. I mean you run out of bullets you always had one last weapon to save your ass.

 

Oh and they are not "hats". Hats are what baseball players wear. Helmets are what soldiers wear so the brains don't get blown on the wall looking like art deco.
