joytokey.net (this works with my Saitek 7 button), google it--some freeware apps, some shareware, a couple on ThePirateBay.se

edit : i recommend you still use mouse for your shooting hand. much quicker/more accurate

I use a saitek cyborg flightstick v1. Their software works to convert bands to keystrokes. It has enough buttons that I can do everything (except chat obviously). I steer left handed and use a mouse for aim/shoot with right. I find it much more intuitive than WASD.
